Just had to share this lovely blog post about False Start from Readymade Magazine! If you aren’t a fan of Readymade already, you really should be. They are an excellent resource for all ya’ll DIY types (their last issue actually made me go out and buy an ice cream maker!).
Those who are on the mailing list got to hear it first (so join and stay in the loop!), but I guess I can let the rest of you know which bands will be playing at the August 14th event (entitled super*MARKET curated by False Start!). Nopal, Magick Orchids and The Littlest Viking will be performing and providing a lovely musical backdrop to do all your zine buying to. It’s going to rule!

Mark your calendars! August 14th False Start will be throwing a mini zine fest and show at Meltdown Comics in Hollywood! There will be distros and zinesters tabling, as well as bands, food trucks and booze! More details to come.

I hope the summer is treating everyone well. Keep your calendars free because sometime in late July or early August, False Start and Meltdown will be throwing a zine-filled event with live music, booze and food trucks to celebrate and promote zine culture in LA! More details to come!
